Flights
Flying time is about eight hours from Gatwick and you will arrive at Crown Point International Airport. Flights are with British Airways, British West Indies, Virgin or Excel, sit on the left to get the first views of the Island. Your journey to the Villa is around 15 minutes by car.
Car Hire
Car or jeep hire is a must if you want to explore the Island and is generally cheaper than in the UK.
Arrangements can be made through our services for you to collect your vehicle from the airport, or if you prefer you can make your own arrangements after you arrive at the Villa.
Approximate charges are between tt$250 and tt$300 per day (£25 - £30). Local currency is the Trinidad and Tobago Dollar and the exchange rate is between 8-10tt$ to the pound.
Please remember to have your driving license with you at all times as you may be stopped for a friendly spot-check.
Shopping
The supermarkets open at 8.00 am including Sunday, have ATMS (cash machines) and all the main stores on the island take credit cards.
Good quality meat is available from a nearby family butchers who have their own abattoir and freezers.
Fresh fruit, fish and vegetables are available from the fascinating market in Scarborough town (a unique shopping experience) and from numerous roadside stalls.
If you are unsure of going on your first shopping trip our representative will try to be available to escort you. Arrangements can be made with them on your arrival at your holiday home.
There are numerous good restaurants and cafes on the island as well as various takeaways.
